Offering a user-friendly interface, it comes with a lot of comfort features like importing your feed lists from OPML files, background synchronisation or offline reading (caching). compactRSS supports all popular feed formats like RSS and Atom.

2010/12/08 - compactRSS 1.6 released!

compactRSS 1.6 has been released and was submitted to Marketplace today. It will be available in a few days. It comes with the following fixes:

  • Fix: Better support for feeds with rather uncommon encodings or encodings that are not supported by the localized version of your device
  • Fix: Better support for HTTPS feeds with certificates that are not trusted on your mobile device

2010/08/11 - compactRSS 1.5 released!

compactRSS 1.5 has been released and comes with some long-awaited new features as well as with some fixes:

  • New: Support for multiple languages. In version 1.5, compactRSS now supports English and German.
  • Improved: Revised post viewer with better support for the browser rendering of Windows Mobile 6.5
  • Improved: The complete codebase was overhauled to accomplish better performance
  • Improved: Removed custom auto update functionality to support auto updates over Windows Marketplace for Mobile
  • Fix: Scrolling behavior inside "Settings" and "Edit Feed" screens was buggy and is now fixed.
  • Fix: You cannot change the storage location anymore in the settings screen if no storage card is present.
  • Fix: The post viewer displays posts that have no author information set now better.
  • Fix: Some additional small bugfixes and UI improvements.
